If not knowing a language will stop us from being together, let’s learn it together.

etisalat - International Day of Sign Languages

Deaf people are isolated from the ‘general’ population and are unable to communicate with the people around them. Humans are very visually driven, and having a visual aid can make learning easier, especially a new language. Visually show people how to sign a series of popular phrases in ARSL by creating a collectable series of various collateral, including posters, tshirts, social media content and video content. The collateral will serve a awareness purpose to support the education that will be done.

“Just because I don’t use my literal voice to communicate, in societies eyes it’s like I don’t have a voice at all.”

— Christine Sun Kim

EMPLOYEE TRAINING PROGRAM

In an effort to close the gap between hearing and deaf people in the UAE Etisalat created a training program to teach store employees phrases in ASL. This training program worked in conjunction with the awareness design material.
